- Is M-Pesa included?
- Yes, on every plan. Members pay through a prompt on their phone or your PayBill, and payouts go straight to their M-Pesa.
- Can I bring my existing records?
- Yes. Bring your members and past contributions in from a spreadsheet on any plan.
- How is our data kept private?
- Your data is stored encrypted and locked to your group. No other group can ever see it.
- Can we change plan later?
- Yes. Pay for a different plan by M-Pesa and it switches on immediately. No contract.
- What if we use up our SMS?
- Nothing stops. Your SMS renew every month, and you can top up any time.
- Which product should we start with?
- Chama Reminder if you only need to reach members. Bookkeeper if you also need to keep the money records.
- Can we move from Chama Reminder to Kitabu Yetu?
- Yes, any time. Your group, members and messages carry over.
- What does Changi$ha cost?
- A monthly plan from KES 100 (Starter), 250 (Growth) or 400 (Premium) lets your group create and launch campaigns. When the group withdraws raised funds, a standard 4% platform fee and Safaricom's M-Pesa transfer charge are deducted. Donors pay nothing extra.
- Is there a free plan?
- No. Plans start from a low monthly price, paid by M-Pesa.
